At first launch The Long Fetch (demo) asks whether you want to send anonymous statistics to help us tune the difficulty. The default answer is yes, but you can say no, and change your mind anytime in Options › Send anonymous statistics.
What we collect, only if you agree
- how levels go: times, restarts, bones collected, levels started, completed or abandoned;
- where the ball falls and where Leila catches it (the level tile), to find the spots that are too hard;
- game version, operating system, graphics card, language, graphics quality, window size and controller type (keyboard, Xbox, PlayStation);
- clicks on the Feedback, wishlist and Discord buttons;
- if the game closes unexpectedly (crash), at the next launch: when it happened (at startup or while playing, and in which level), graphics card, driver and graphics mode, and the last error lines of the game's log file, with your user folder name removed. If the crash happens before the statistics question, the report waits for your answer; if you say no it is deleted without being sent.
What we do NOT collect: name, email, accounts, contacts, files on your computer, IP address (it is not stored in our data). The game uses a random code that identifies this copy of the game, not you.
Where the data goes: a Supabase database in the European Union, readable only by the developer. No ads, no selling, no sharing with third parties. We keep the data for at most 12 months.
Opt-out and deletion: turning the option off stops all sending and deletes the events not sent yet. To have the events already sent deleted, write to us with your anonymous code (you can find it in the game's feedback form, field "client").
Who handles the data: GOLDEN GRIFFIN SL (Spain), which publishes the game. Contact: hello@thelongfetchgame.com.
The feedback form (Tally/Google) is an external service with its own privacy policy: the game opens it pre-filled with version, level, language, system and the anonymous code ("off" if you did not agree to statistics).
Newsletter
If you sign up for the The Long Fetch newsletter on thelongfetchgame.com:
Who handles the data: GOLDEN GRIFFIN, S.L. (Spain), the controller. Contact: hello@thelongfetchgame.com.
What we collect: your email address and the language you want the emails in (English or Italian). Nothing else: no name, no profile.
What for: sending you the game's news (the Steam page, the demo, the launch and a few other emails a year) and letting you be the first to play the version with the level editor.
Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the form and confirming with the link we email you (double opt-in): without confirmation we don't add you and we don't write again. The link is valid for 48 hours.
Who helps us:
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) stores the list and sends the emails. The transfer to the United States relies on Resend's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, included in its data processing agreement.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form is sent by a person and not a bot: it loads only when you start filling in the form and uses no advertising cookies. The website itself is served by Cloudflare.
For how long: until you unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, your address is kept only as "unsubscribed", so that no more emails reach you.
Unsubscribing: with the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to hello@thelongfetchgame.com.
Your rights: you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing and receive it in a readable format, by writing to hello@thelongfetchgame.com. You can withdraw your consent at any time. If you think we are not handling it properly, you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es), the Spanish data protection authority.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no trackers and no analytics. Your language choice is kept in your browser only. The trailer is loaded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) only if you start it: until then nothing is loaded from YouTube, which has its own privacy policy. Like every website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes the technical data needed to deliver the pages.

- come vanno i livelli: tempi, ripartenze, ossi raccolti, livelli iniziati, completati o abbandonati;
- dove cade la palla e dove Leila la acchiappa (la casella del livello), per capire quali punti sono troppo difficili;
- versione del gioco, sistema operativo, scheda video, lingua, qualità grafica, dimensione della finestra e tipo di controller (tastiera, Xbox, PlayStation);
- i clic sui pulsanti Feedback, lista dei desideri e Discord;
Newsletter
Se ti iscrivi alla newsletter di The Long Fetch dal sito thelongfetchgame.com:
Chi tratta i dati: GOLDEN GRIFFIN, S.L. (Spagna), titolare.
